The table and cabinet finally arrived today. The table is perfect. The custom cabinet I ordered, to size, is slightly too shallow. I can't even measure and I want to work with wood. ::skull:: If I get a different stereo to mono adapter i think it will fit fine. But I didn't leave any room and that extra half inch is so annoying. Now I need to set up the Nintendos and everything. A lot of drilling holes that look horrible cause I only have a drill bit so big ahead of me.
Volleyball practice was amazing. Those women are amazing. ok so. setter's job is to get the 2nd hit. I think that will be a lot easier not in sand. cause fuck was it hard to like accelerate. I need to call shit out. I need to be better with everyone's name. I need to practice my sets and bumps. sets are either the weakest or strongest hits in the world. bumps are just praying the ball goes in a hittable direction.
over means the ball is going over not to just hit the ball over. middle back takes the deep while the side back cover the closer middle balls. if you are up front, let the people behind you take the first hits. Volleyball is hard cause it feels like we have this gameplan. but shit hits the fan instantly and its just like adapt. which takes reps. and reps and reps for me to feel comfortable. I hope this isn't a one and done type thing cause I'm really enjoying it
The amount of systems, rules, and tricks I implemented to make ballet class go by faster. from making sure I could never see the clock from my barre spot. to knowing the general timestamps of each combo. to breaking the 1h30 or 2h class into 30 min or 15 min sections and just count down to that to keep me going.
I don't want to go home. I want to stay at the shop and keep working. keep building and learning and creating. I feel like im playing with kenects making bionical monstrosities again. Its why I like assembly. I can fucking see it. and with wood i can touch it.
I cannot understand things I cant get my hands on. No matter how many times I'm told, my curiousity wins. I need to know. satiate my thirst. I just wish I could transport a fuck ton of lumber there. I want adjency. leave me alone let me do what i'm doing.

I won my first game of commander on wednesday. I could have lost,
The player before me had the choice of killing me or another player, and they chose poorly
Ima just do a little deck tech for it
Current Deck ListThe point of this deck is to have faster and more non games. I have found that I like my wednesday night commander nights to have a quicker pace, even if I don't win.
I also don't like it when a player, myself or other, are just getting mana screwed or flooded.
So with Xyris's card draw I should be able to attack the player struggling and give them a draw boost to get them back in the game.
This is trying to be a burn/combo deck that cares about opponent's handsize.
The instants are useful since you can hit people before discard. Storm is also the only green card which I think is just cool. I have not cast Stormbreath Dragon yet out of my 2 games so far so idk how it is. Khorvath's is AOE which is also great, but you also have to take dmg or wheel. Molton Psyche deals damage based off cards drawn that turn. Which makes it better for on the turn of the big wheel and draw combo. I'm thinking off adding Silverbluff Bridge just to have more passive artifacts for Molten Psych. Although it being a wheel means that it has value to gameplan even if metalcraft is not active.
A noteable win synergy that has been very fun is with Vicious Shadows, Skullclamp, and all those snakes you've been making passively. You could easily kill the whole table if your opponents have 4 cards in hand and you have 20 snakes. Granted that is 20 mana but there is some big mana cards like Battle Hymm, Three Tree City, and Phyrexian Altar.
These are the key to put opponents in range for the burn spell kill. Iron Maiden and Black Vise are great ways to get like 10sih dmg on each opponent and maybe 5 more on a specific target. Fevered Visions is really good. I have cut most of the incremental table card draw like Kami of the Cresent Moon. Having it be at end step, and have burn built in is perfect. I have also included Grafted Exoskeleton to attatch to Viseling for a more cheese win. But with this deck a cheese win is still a win. I actually don't mind constantly reminding people of these triggers unlike Rhystic Study or other more constant triggers. just asking hey, how many cards do you have in hand? or when they pass the turn being like, hey draw a card.... and take 2.
These damage doubling effects are really key for getting the burn to matter. Delirium is not too difficult to activate, honestly creature is one of the harder types to get in there. Land, Sorc and instant are easy. Rollercrusher also is one of the only removal spells right now.
So you aren't doing much damage if your opponents have no cards in hand. Folio of Fancy is one of the best cards in the deck. Removing everyone's handsize really puts everyone on a short clock. It also being able to activate on endstep before your turn is great way to use all mana each turn. I kind of hate cyclonic rift, but its purpose is to, you guessed it, get that handsize up. Aetherize also works as a defensize spell while also setting yourself up for big burn on your turn. I'm thinking of adding some single target bounce spells that help me stay alive bouncing key threats, but can also sneak out 1 or 2 more damage for the combo. The wheels are great, and have some sequencing to use Windfall to get every player full of cards.
I kind of don't like boardwipes. They slow the game down soooo much. I have watched a bit of Distraction Maker's and I thought I would try out the fog game. They are just there if you get swung on. But one of the points of the this deck was for faster games, so fogging fits that theme much better. This deck can be slow as hell if you don't get the card draw online. So some fogs will keep you alive but you want people spending the cards you give them on your opponents, not you. They need a board presence/to be threatening in someway then. Isochron Scepter is just a cool card I had, its main purpose is turbo fog but I will probably have to cut it.
I generally have not liked counterspells in EDH. I find that there are too many threats to account/hold for. I'm always wishing I used the counterspell on a later more impactful card. That should get better with learning more key cards for archetypes. Or i feel like they sit dead in my hand as I'm spending all my mana advancing my own gameplan. But because I run basically 0 removal they are pretty useful. Arcane Denail and Long River's Pull fit the theme nicely. Three Steps ahead might be the best one since it can also copy a Black Vise or other burn artifact. Force is just cool and I'll always include it in a blue deck.
Snapcaster helps get back burn spells since there are only 8 (7 instant and sorc) in the deck. Emry is also insurance for key artifacts to stay on the field. There is brainstorm and faithless looting, Search for Azcanta, growth spiral, expressive Iteration, are all there to find your combo pieces. I originally had more incremental table card draw. But I think having more intential card draw for opponents is better. I want them to have cards, but not just drown in the midgame becasue everyone has been drawing 1-3 extra cards a turn on my mana.
And I am nothing of a builder
But here I dreamt I was an architect
And I built this balustrade
To keep you home, to keep you safe
From the outside world
But the angles and the corners
Even though my work is unparalleled
They never seem to meet
This structure fell about our feet
And we were free to go

Can you have two h2 headers? I really have no idea what I am doing. the last blog was an embedded text file. this is just html. I don't know html. I don't know php. I did take a database class. So my first real idea on how to do this, would be to put my blog posts in a mysql database. I could just put the name of the txt file, data, and that stuff in the db, then php grabs the most recent blog to display. that way its easy to update any txt file without having to do any database stuff. Is this the best way? never. But its a way that makes sense to me with the current knowledge I have. The link from my instragram app doesn't work. I'm not sure what is happening there. Maybe its some html header crap I don't have? I'll have to look into that.
